Everything’s Popping Up Poppies!

I’m on a Poppy Roll! (Get it….poppy roll?)

I visited Arles, France a couple of months ago and had the pleasure of following the Van Gogh Trail. I’ve always been inspired by him and ‘Everything’s Popping up Poppies’reflects that. There were fields of poppies there, every one more beautiful than the last.

Of course that meant I had the urge to create a couple of individual poppies as well!

Oh yeah…then there were three!

Yes! The originals are for sale!  Send an email to inquire about pricing.  “Everything’s Popping up Poppys’  is 24″x36″ acrylic on canvas; the others are miniatures, 2″x3” acrylic on paper.

I’ll be posting these as Debbie Wearables and Home goods in  a few days. High quality giclee prints are also available. Stay tuned!

A Method to my Madness

Today I bring you Flowers in Abstract, 1, 2 and 3. You are probably wondering…why?

There are many home decor items that can be created from original art.  Many of you have seen –  and ordered things like pillows and tote bags from my online gallery over the years.  But not everyone wants a lighthouse on a shower curtain or a tulip pillow. Sometimes, you just want something whose colors fit your decor. That’s where these come in.

You can now purchase small rugs, floor pillows and even curtains using my abstract paintings.  Now you can coordinate your bath, (shower curtain, rug or bath mat, and  curtains) or your bedroom, (duvet, bed cover, curtains and pillows and shams) in just a few easy steps.

I have partnered with Society 6 to provide these for my customers at reduced prices. Check their specials. They offer free shipping just about every day discounts ranging from 10-30 percent. The special of the day always appears at the top of the page.

To take a look, click on any of the flowers or paste this link in your address line: www.Society6.com/OwnADebbie

By the way,  these hand painted 10×10 acrylics on canvas are for sale.   They’ll look great in any room!  $40 each or all 3 for $100! Picup is free. Shipping is additional. Email me to order.

The Great Art Experiment Continues!

So this week, I started with a black canvas, then added  the sunflower and decorative ‘hardware’. I used acrylic polymers to add depth to the center of the flower and the edges. Had a difficult time making this colorful. On a black canvas, paints are much darker than they appear! After a lot of layering, I finally got the colors I envisioned.
