What’s Old Is New Again Redux

Yup.  I’m at it again! I am taking some of my older paintings and redoing them using some of the new techniques I’ve learned over the past couple of years. “All Dressed Up and Nowhere to Go” is one that I always felt was missing something. I think the newly repainted version is a much better fit. If you look closely, you will see lots of tiny dresses in the window! The shop also has a name,  Millie’s Dress Shoppe. No hidden meaning…I just liked the name.

Wouldn’t this look terrific in your bedroom?

                           Waiting For A Train

Now and then I will have something I painted a few years back that I am not entirely pleased with.  Waiting For A Train is one of those that always left me thinking it was missing something.

I’ve learned so many techniques since the earlier version and my tastes in what I paint has changed. That said, four weeks and many hours later, Waiting For a Train is officially finished.

I am more than pleased with the final result and hope you enjoy it as well.
